Today I was one of the guides taking 19 CO-OP pharmacists on their charity walk up Ben Nevis. After a quick photo at the Ben Nevis Inn we were off. It soon became apparent by the windy gap below half way lochan that there were 2 different paces, so the majority went off ahead after the Reb Burn at half way and I stuck with the second group making the Red Burn in 2 hours.
2 ladies were forced to conceded just after and started to make their way down with one of the guides and I continued into the cloud and wind to the summit. My small team of 6 had to dig deep to reach the summit in not very nice condition in 4 hours, where we met the other group just about to head down.
A few hours later we were out of the cloud again and making our way back to the pub, with some tired legs making it back in just under 8 hours. A good day all round and lots of money raised for charity.
