Down Glen Nevis

Today was a very sunny day, with 18 degrees on the car I made the short drive to lower pinnacle to practice some rescue work.  Over a couple of hours the crags dried which made for a busy glen with climbers.

I worked over the simple mechanics of lowering someone past a knot, ascending a rope with prussics, an unassisted hoist on an injured person and a lower off.  Throughout the few hours I was up there I was kept company by 2 bats doing their best to make a dent in the midge population.

Here are a few photos of the amount of snow that has disappeared over the last few days due to the torrential, sideways rain.
