Today we headed to Carreg Y Foel Garri in south Snowdonia. Today was all about recapping and single pitch climbing. With low cloud and with greasy rock we all headed up the v diffs of the crag. I seconded Chimney sweep which has an awkward start over a chockstone at the start and then lead Cracked slab, which is a great route up a cracked slab! The rain then descended and we were asked to set up some climbs as bottom ropes and abseils with a twist in the setup. We then dissected the setup for the rest of the afternoon in the wind and driving rain. We made quite a picture with full waterproofs, shouting at the top of our voices as to whether a larks foot should be used instead of a crab and other topics of similar interest to climbers only.
After tea and cakes we went to the indoor wall and talked over the use of teaching climbing indoors and problems can arrive with their use.
