Storm, Glen Nevis

Finished work at 11.30 and in the Glen by 2pm.  Alex and myself headed for Storm, a route i’ve been wanting to do for a while.  A good, pleasant first pitch of 4b with good gear and holds all the way was a good warm up.  Alex then set off on the second pitch towards the pine tree.  A steeper pitch and with less gear, gives this pitch a mountainous feel.  After negotiating the wet patch below the pine a simple belay was set.  Much to the surprise of an owl that was hiding nearby.  With the threat of rain over I set off on the final and crux pitch.  With good gear at the steeper start and good placements for your feet, a few hard pulls and its on to easier terrain and slabs to the top.  A good classic first multi-pitch of the season.
