Today Hannah, Lena and myself headed over to Loch Quoich. With a slight threatening of rain as we left the car we thought we were going to be in for a wet day, luckily it never came to anything. We headed up the well made path towards Gleouraich. With a lot of fresh snow on the ground and a stiff easterly breeze we stick to the top of the ridge. There were some big cornices on the final slopes to the summit on the north aspects. In the cloud we headed round to point 1006m and down to the col before heading up to Spidean Mialach which was trickier than expected. On the north side of the peak there was a lot of snow debris which looked like cornice collapse and where the snow had come away from the buttresses. With near on white out conditions on the top we had to be careful to keep away from the drop to our north. With some good navigation around the tops we finally headed down towards Loch Fearna. A good day all round with good weather, snow conditions and great views down Loch Quoich on the way back down to the car.
