Finally I have managed to get out into the hills after an attack of man flu. Claire and myself headed for Glen Coe for a short hill day. After finding the right car park we headed up the well worn path towards the Pap of Glen Coe. After a warm start we headed into the clouds at about 750m and towards Sgorr nam Fiannaidh at the west end of the Aonach Eagach. With freezing levels hovering around 900m the snow and ice increased as we got towards the summit as well as the wind. After a quick look at the white view we headed down into a snow shower and then drizzle, bound for tea and cakes in Glen Coe cafe.
Looking across towards Stob corie nam Beith and Church Door buttress areas, the rock was very black with no rime ice of any kind all the way to the summits.
