Hannah an myself had a trip to the Cairngorms for some navigation practice before Hannah’s winter ML assessment. We had perfect conditions to practice on the tops. After going up the Goat track we had intermittent cloud that turned into full on white out to the top, which only cleared nearing the top of the Goat track again. Hannah lead some good legs with some very strong wind all the way and got the points spot on. We looked at timings, pacing and breaking legs down mostly, with also applying what the terrain should look like whilst moving through it towards the destination point. A good day out but not many views.
